Telugu Expert with Mathematical Background

What you'll do

You judge AI-written Telugu the way a careful editor would, then produce gold-standard Telugu answers across general knowledge, customer support, education and conversational writing. Alongside correctness you rank AI outputs for fluency, tone and cultural appropriateness, and flag unsafe or misleading content.

This ad pairs a language job with a mathematics degree requirement, which the ad does not explain. The Telugu-specific wrinkle it does name is regional usage, Andhra Pradesh versus Telangana, plus writing for audiences in India and the diaspora.

What you need

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics
  • Native or near-native Telugu, reading and writing
  • English at C1 or above
  • 3+ years in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism or education
  • Deep command of Telugu grammar, spelling, punctuation and style
  • Comfort with formal and informal registers and regional variation

Nice to have

  • Earlier AI data training, translation or editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation

Where it is open

Applicants must be in India, the United States or the United Arab Emirates, which suits Telugu speakers working abroad as well as at home.

What it pays

SME Careers lists this role at up to $20 an hour. That is a ceiling, not a rate: the ad does not say what a typical contractor earns, or how hours are allocated. It does not state payment terms either; SuperAnnotate's general process (Deel contracts, a paid bootcamp, tracked hourly work) is covered on the company page. That is $5 above the Tamil Expert listing with the same degree line, and $5 below the Telugu Team Lead ceiling.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Open to Telugu speakers in the US and the UAE, not only India
  • Writing gold answers as well as reviewing
  • Higher ceiling than the Tamil equivalent

Less good:

  • The mathematics degree is a hard filter
  • Up to $20 is a ceiling, not a rate
  • No hours or project size are stated

About this listing

Read from the SME Careers jobs board on 27 October 2026. The board gives no posting date, so we cannot say how long the role has been open. The interview, onboarding and time-tracking process is on the company page rather than repeated here. See SuperAnnotate.
