Turkish Team Lead
What you'll do
As Turkish team lead (QAL) you review the Turkish items trainers and QAs produce and make sure they follow the project rubric. The ad names the Turkish-specific issues you will judge: vowel harmony, suffixation, agglutinative structure, wrong suffix usage and missing Turkish characters.
Around that sits coordination work: Discord updates on guideline changes, answers to trainer questions, onboarding calls, chasing inactive contributors, and maintaining style guides, FAQs and trackers. The ad says selection involves an AI interview, a domain-specific task and an interview with a recruiter.
What you need
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Turkish, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, QA or a related field
- Native or near-native Turkish with strong reading and writing
- Good English for guidelines and feedback
- 3+ years in Turkish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training or annotation
- Strong understanding of Turkish grammar, vowel harmony and suffixation
- Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets and Docs and trackers
Nice to have
- Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers or QAs
- AI training, annotation or rubric-based LLM QA experience
Where it is open
The listing accepts applicants in the United States only, which is unusual for a Turkish-language role; check that you meet that residence requirement before applying.
What it pays
SME Careers lists this role at up to $25 an hour. That is a ceiling, not a rate: the ad does not say what a typical contractor earns, or how hours are allocated. It does not state payment terms either; SuperAnnotate's general process (Deel contracts, a paid bootcamp, tracked hourly work) is covered on the company page. No Turkish expert listing appears in this batch to compare against; the ad names only the lead role.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Rare Turkish-language lead opening for people based in the US
- Clear Turkish-specific quality criteria
- Remote and hourly
Less good:
- US-only eligibility excludes Turkey-based speakers
- Three-stage selection
- The ceiling of $25 is not a guaranteed rate
- The ad does not say how many contributors you would lead
About this listing
Read from the SME Careers jobs board on 27 October 2026. The board gives no posting date, so we cannot say how long the role has been open. The interview, onboarding and time-tracking process is on the company page rather than repeated here. See SuperAnnotate.
