What you'll do
You compare outputs from Dutch speech and language models and give each sample a rating for accuracy, fluency, naturalness and overall quality. Where two samples differ, you pin down how: a grammar slip, a mispronounced word, the wrong tone, awkward phrasing, a word choice no native speaker would make. The listing's recurring question is whether the spoken Dutch sounds natural in context.
Dutch is spoken with real variation between the Netherlands and Flanders, and between regions within each, and the listing asks for familiarity with dialect variation. That matters when you judge a synthetic voice: a pronunciation can be unusual for one region and perfectly normal for another, and a good rating separates "wrong" from "different". The listing does not say which variety the project targets.
Tasks are short, 30 seconds to 4 minutes each according to the listing, so expect many small judgments rather than long assignments. Volume and project length are not stated.
Who fits
- Strong command of Dutch grammar, spelling and natural speech patterns
- Familiarity with Dutch pronunciation, phonology and dialect variation
- The ability to explain fine differences between samples clearly, and to rate consistently across hundreds of them
No degree, years of experience, AI background or country of residence is required by the listing. Speakers who know both Netherlands and Belgian Dutch well have an edge on the dialect side.
What it pays
$1.30 per unit, identical to the Danish sibling listing, which uses the same template. By our arithmetic, a unit that takes the full 4 minutes works out to $19.50 an hour, and shorter units pay proportionally more; a unit that takes 30 seconds would be $156 an hour, which is unlikely to be typical. The listing does not say how long clips are or how much written explanation each rating needs, so your real rate is unknown until you try a few tasks. Guideline reading and the qualification step are not paid per unit.
Contract terms on the listing: independent contractor basis, fully remote, your own schedule, payment issued weekly via Stripe or Wise. Invisible cannot support H1-B or STEM OPT contractors.
Getting started
Two steps are shown before paid work: upload your résumé (about 5 minutes) and unlock paid projects (about 30 minutes). The second is an unpaid qualification.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Short tasks that suit spare half hours
- Per-unit pay can beat Invisible's common $17 hourly rate for fast, accurate raters
- Dialect knowledge counts in your favour
- Weekly Stripe or Wise payment stated in the terms
Less good:
- Dutch is a bigger talent pool than Danish, so there may be more competition for units
- Effective hourly rate depends entirely on clip length, which the listing does not give
- No guaranteed volume; projects can end early
- Unpaid qualification before paid work
- No H1-B or STEM OPT contractors
About this listing
Read on Invisible's Meridial marketplace on 26 September 2026; it had been posted about two months before we read it. The rate, task length, requirements and contract terms are Invisible's own text; the hourly arithmetic and the notes on Dutch variation are ours. The client is not named. See Invisible Technologies.
