Skills
  • fda regulatory analysis
  • regulatory compliance
  • legal research
  • risk assessment
  • regulatory submissions
  • legal writing

What you'll do

You apply FDA and life sciences regulatory knowledge to an AI project. The ad lists: analysing FDA statutes, regulations and guidance, critiquing regulatory submissions and compliance documentation, assessing scenarios for regulatory risk, enforcement trends and liability, and drafting or editing scenario-based questions and answers on best practice. You also spot emerging issues and explain complex requirements to technical and non-technical readers.

The work is remote for a customer project. The ad does not state weekly hours.

What you need

  • A J.D. and an active license to practice law in the United States
  • 5 or more years focused on FDA law, regulatory strategy or compliance in life sciences, pharmaceuticals or medical devices
  • Understanding of federal regulatory processes, submission pathways and compliance protocols
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Detail-oriented, accurate output

Nice to have

  • Experience advising or representing clients in FDA investigations, warning letters or consent decrees

What it pays

micro1's listing states $140–400 per hour. The ad does not say what sets an individual rate within that range or whether pay is per hour or per task. Ask at screening, because the gap between the two ends is large.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • A top-of-board band for niche regulatory expertise
  • Remote, and the work matches what you already do in practice
  • A US license is the only credential gate stated

Less good:

  • Only five openings, and a narrow specialism
  • A $140–400 band is hard to plan income around
  • No duration or screening steps are stated
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, and you manage your own tax
