Dentist

SuperAnnotate: pay and who it accepts · Posted Revised

What you'll do

You check how well AI models reason about dentistry and, where the project asks for it, write the reference answers they should have given. Review work means reading a model's response to a clinical scenario and testing it for diagnostic logic, treatment planning, antibiotic stewardship, radiographic interpretation and missing contraindications (the ad names anticoagulants and immunosuppression). You also rank several responses against each other and explain the ranking in writing.

The content side is prompt and gold-answer writing across oral health, diagnosis, emergencies, prescribing and patient counselling. Throughout, the aim is catching unsafe assumptions: a plan that fits a dental clinic but not an emergency department, or a history that does not lead to the stated diagnosis.

Who fits

  • A DDS, DMD or equivalent dental degree, with active licensure or eligibility for it
  • 5+ years of clinical dentistry in general practice, hospital, community or a specialty
  • Confident clinical reasoning: differential diagnosis, red flags, urgent versus routine triage
  • C1 English at minimum
  • Reliable and self-directed in an hourly, remote contractor setup across time zones

Experience with AI data training, clinical documentation review, peer or utilisation review, or dental editorial QA is strongly preferred. The role is open to applicants in 17 countries, mainly across South and Southeast Asia, plus Brazil, Germany and the US.

What it pays

The ad lists pay as $0 to $90 an hour. The $0 floor is the board's own figure and probably reflects a range with no fixed minimum rather than unpaid work, but the ad does not explain it, so treat the top as a ceiling and confirm the rate at offer stage. The ad does not describe payment terms; SuperAnnotate's company page covers the Deel contract, paid bootcamp and monitoring software that apply across its hourly projects.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Clinical expertise is used directly, rather than generic annotation skill
  • Remote and hourly, with a stated ceiling of $90
  • Access to future projects through the expert network

Less good:

  • The pay range starts at $0 and the ad does not say what determines the rate
  • The ad says there is no immediate project for this role; qualified candidates are among the first contacted when a relevant one opens, so this is a talent-pool listing rather than a seat with guaranteed work.
  • A 5+ year clinical background plus licensure is a high entry bar for a listing with no confirmed project
  • Hourly work on SME projects is tracked with monitoring software, per the company page

About this listing

Read from the SME Careers jobs board on 27 October 2026; the board gives no posting date. Pay, countries and requirements are the ad's own. See SuperAnnotate.
