Persian Team Lead
What you'll do
You run quality on Persian and Farsi projects. You spot-check items and trainer or QA work against rubrics and give feedback through direct messages. Questions from the team come to you, especially on register, translation fidelity, RTL formatting, script conventions and terminology. You announce guideline changes on Discord, chase contributors who have gone inactive, and keep the project's style guide, trackers, FAQs, examples and honeypots up to date. You also run onboarding calls so new contributors apply the same standard.
Who fits
- Native or near-native Persian (Farsi) with strong reading and writing, and good English
- A bachelor's or master's in Persian, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education or QA
- 3+ years of Persian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training or annotation
- Understanding of Persian script conventions and right-to-left formatting, and of Iranian Persian, formal versus conversational usage and literary versus modern register
- Leading or supporting remote teams is strongly preferred
- AI training or rubric-based LLM QA experience is a strong plus
Open to applicants in Armenia, Canada, Pakistan, Tajikistan, the UK, the US, the UAE and Uzbekistan.
What it pays
Up to $25 an hour on an hourly contract, per the ad. This matches the Persian language expert ceiling, so there is no pay step for taking the lead seat, unlike the Odia and Norwegian pairs.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Much wider country list than the expert listing, including diaspora hubs such as the UK, US and Canada
- Documentation and onboarding experience carries to other language projects
- Remote and hourly
Less good:
- The ad lists a selection process of an AI interview, a domain-specific task and a recruiter interview. The company page covers the wider hiring flow, Deel contracting and time tracking.
- Same $25 ceiling as the reviewer role despite the extra coordination work
- No hours or project length published

The pay comparison with the expert listing is ours. The hiring process, Deel contracting and monitoring rules are covered on the company page. See SuperAnnotate.
