Blender Specialist

What you'll do

AI agents that drive desktop software still stumble badly on tools like Blender, where the right next click depends on the state of the mesh. Your job is to make training material for that gap. You invent a task a studio or client would plausibly set (a low-poly prop to spec, a retopology and UV pass, a shader and lighting setup), stage the files, and record yourself doing it start to finish with capture tools the project supplies.

The part that sets this apart from ordinary annotation is the scoring side. For each task you write down the objective, the steps you took, what the finished scene or render must satisfy, which intermediate checkpoints count as partial progress, and which plausible-looking wrong results should earn no credit. Those criteria are what let a model be graded consistently. Experienced contributors can move into QA, auditing other people's recordings.

Who fits

• 2 to 5 years as a Blender-focused 3D artist (studio, contract or freelance), or equivalent demonstrable practice
• Production proficiency: modelling and clean topology, modifiers, UV unwrapping, materials, lighting, Cycles and/or EEVEE
• The eye to explain bad topology, normals problems, scale errors and non-manifold geometry
• A computer running Windows 11, Ubuntu (X11) or macOS that can handle Blender plus a screen recorder; batches are assigned by operating system
• English at B2 or better, enough to write steps another expert can reproduce
• Earlier AI data, annotation or benchmark work is listed as a plus

• Closed-source AI assistants are contractually banned on the project, and recordings must be free of personal information
• Hardware and OS requirements can rule people out, and batches are tied to your operating system
