Chinese (Simplified) Quality Assurance Lead (QAL)

What you'll do

This is a lead role rather than a production one. You review Simplified Chinese content produced or judged by other people (trainers and QAs) against the project rubric, and tell them in writing what to fix. The ad is specific about the Mainland China register: it wants judgment on Mandarin usage, punctuation and terminology, and names Traditional Chinese leakage and Taiwan or Hong Kong wording as errors to catch.

Around the reviewing sits the people work: posting guideline updates on Discord, answering wording questions, messaging contributors who have gone quiet, running onboarding calls, and maintaining style guides, FAQs and honeypot (known-answer) checks.

Who fits

• A degree in Chinese, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, education or a related field
• Native or near-native Simplified Chinese with strong Mainland Mandarin writing judgment, plus English good enough to give clear feedback
• 3+ years in Simplified Chinese writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, annotation or similar
• Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets and Docs and trackers
• Leading or supporting remote teams is strongly preferred; LLM evaluation or rubric-based QA experience is a strong plus
