Croatian Language Expert

What you'll do

You review AI-generated Croatian and write model answers. The test of a Croatian specialist is grammar the model gets subtly wrong: case endings and declension, aspect, word order, diacritics, and agreement. The ad also asks you to catch Serbian, Bosnian or Montenegrin influence and English-calqued phrasing, which is a real issue for models trained on mixed regional data. Topics span customer support, education, conversation, translation and culturally sensitive content, and you rank competing AI answers on fluency, register and meaning preservation.

Who fits

  • A degree in linguistics, Croatian, literature, communications, journalism or translation, or equivalent experience
  • Native or near-native Croatian with strong reading and writing
  • Minimum C1 English
  • 3+ years of writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism or education
  • AI annotation or translation QA experience is strongly preferred

Only applicants in Croatia are listed.

What it pays

Up to $25 an hour per the listing, with no floor. The Croatian Team Lead role lists up to $30. The listing does not publish payment method or cadence; SuperAnnotate's general terms are on the company page.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Croatian is a small market, so qualified reviewers are likely scarce
  • You explain why something is wrong, which is the skill the ad rewards
  • Remote hourly

Less good:

  • Croatia only
  • The ad does not state whether a project is currently running
  • Hourly work on SME projects is tracked with monitoring software, per the company page.
