Spanish Language Expert

What you'll do

This listing reads as a localization-QA seat more than a general writing one. You review AI-generated Spanish and generate language content, applying MQM and LQA ideas (category, severity, root cause) so quality judgments stay consistent, and you rigorously fact-check units, references, names and dates. The ad also asks for CAT tool and termbase fluency and sharp editorial judgment on register, tone and inclusivity.

Who fits

• Native or near-native Spanish with strong command of Spain locale conventions
• A Bachelor's or higher in translation, linguistics, localization or communications
• 2+ years of professional localization or translation (multilingual strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated MQM/LQA application and CAT tool and QA workflow proficiency
• C1 English

What it pays

The ad lists up to $35 an hour and no minimum. The Spanish Team Lead listing goes to $40. Payment method and timing are not set out in the listing; the SuperAnnotate company page covers the contracting setup.

Worth knowing

Good:

• MQM and LQA skills are rewarded, which general reviewers may lack
• Relatively high ceiling among the language-expert roles in this batch
• Remote

Less good:

• The ad states there is no immediate project for this role; qualified people are first in line when a relevant project opens, and the role also gives access to the wider expert network. Expect a wait rather than a start date.
• The ad contradicts itself: the listed countries are Mexico, Spain and the United States, but its last requirement says only candidates based in Spain will be considered
• Pay is a ceiling, not a rate
