What you'll do

You invent realistic, challenging tasks that can be done in Vim, write them up clearly in SuperAnnotate, and then record yourself carrying them out on your own computer. The recordings teach AI models how people actually work in a keyboard-driven editor.

The ad lists task ideas: editing files, navigating text, modes, search and replace, macros, buffers, splits, registers, configuration, plugins and terminal workflows. The work is creative rather than reviewing others, and you prepare the environment yourself before each recording.

What you need

• Hands-on Vim use for text or code editing, search and replace, terminal workflows or configuration
• English at B2 or above to follow instructions and document tasks
• Comfort with a computer, terminal, files and recording your screen
• Solid Vim basics: modes, motions, operators, buffers, windows, registers and macros
• The ability to invent realistic, challenging tasks
• A setup ready before recording: Vim installed, files prepared, references at hand
• Attention to detail so recordings are complete and understandable

Nice to have

• Coding, Linux, system administration, DevOps, technical writing or QA skills

What it pays

SME Careers lists this role at up to $20 an hour. That is a ceiling, not a rate: the ad does not say what a typical contractor earns, or how hours are allocated.
