Dutch Team Lead

What you'll do

Where the Dutch Language Expert reviews AI output, the team lead reviews the reviewers. You spot-check Dutch items from trainers and QAs, give feedback in direct messages, escalate repeat problems, and answer their questions on wording, register, translation fidelity and the differences between Netherlands and Flemish usage. You announce guideline changes on Discord and keep the Dutch style guide, FAQs, trackers, honeypots and onboarding material up to date.

There is a people-management layer too: messaging contributors who have gone inactive, tracking follow-ups, flagging availability gaps, and running onboarding and training calls. The point is consistency, so every trainer applies the Dutch guidelines the same way as projects change.

Who fits

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Dutch, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education or QA
  • Native or near-native Dutch with strong reading and writing, plus strong English
  • 3+ years in Dutch writing, editing, translation, localisation, content QA, AI training or annotation
  • Able to judge Dutch against detailed rubrics for mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone and inconsistent terminology
  • Candidates should say which variant they support: Netherlands Dutch, Belgian Dutch or both

Experience leading remote teams of trainers or reviewers is strongly preferred. The role is open in Belgium and the Netherlands only (the expert listing also includes Suriname). The ad describes the selection process as an AI interview, a domain-specific task and an interview with a recruiter.

What it pays

Up to $50 an hour per the ad, the highest Dutch figure in this batch and $5 above the expert role. No floor is stated. The ad does not describe payment terms; SuperAnnotate's company page covers the Deel contract, paid bootcamp and monitoring software that apply across its hourly projects.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Higher ceiling than the expert role, with a path from reviewing into leading
  • Both Dutch variants are in scope
  • Remote and hourly

Less good:

  • Time goes to coordination and documentation as well as language review
  • The ad gives no hours, project length or start date
  • Narrower geography than the expert role
